Hi Everyone , its Mrs Ashcroft. Just a note to  reinforce Mrs Beestons web entry. We were all overwhelmed by your generosity and kindness at the end of term , thank you all so very much. We do feel lucky to  have worked with you all and your friendships are very important to us all. We do hope if your little ones are moving on that you will come back to see us and keep us informed of any news and progress. Mrs Beeston and i have been tidy up a bit today but we had our children with us and progress was a bit slow! so we had to head off to  Mc Ds for refreshments!! Thank you to Mr Hall  and Val for cleaning the nursery ready for September. We are looking forward to welcoming our new children next term and catching up with the news from our returners.   We hope you all have a wonderful summer holiday with your families and enjoy the time together.XX

A BIG thank you

On behalf of Mrs Ashcroft, Mrs Hewitt, Mrs Graham, Mrs Ottley, Mrs Hall, Mrs Cassidy and myself (phew). We would like to thank all of the Am and Pm Nursery parents and grandparents for their very kind gifts, cards but especially kind words. It seems all of your children have thoroughly enjoyed their time at Green Park Nursery and we have thoroughly enjoyed sharing these times with them.

Some of you will be returning to us in September and we look forward to hearing all about what fun you have had with your families in the sun, (hopefully), don’t forget SLIP SLAP SLOP ( slip on a t-shirt, slap on a cap and slop on the sun cream).Take care and have a wonderful summer break!

Some of you will not be returning to Nursery but going up to BIG school. These children were presented with a very special scrapbook, to mark their passing out of Nursery and making that next essential step on the ladder of life. We wish those children every success in their new adventures and hope that you will pop in and see us sometime with your smart school uniforms on. Where has the time gone?

Why don’t you leave a comment,  share some of your holiday news with us (we love to hear about what you are all up to), or simply say HELLO!

Take care everybody , see you in September for a brand new term!  x

World Book Day

Filed under: Uncategorized — nursery at 6:35 am on Thursday, March 6, 2008

Our Nursery children had a wonderful time at the library yesterday and were all so well behaved, well done!

First, we were taken for a tour around the library, then we had a little talk about where we find childrens’ books and “BIG ” peoples’  books. The lady explained how each book has a special place in the library. She told us how they are sorted  into these places and kept in order. Can you remember?

After all that excitement, we sat down to enjoy a lovely story read by Sandra. Everyone spoke about their favourite books they like to share and then we set about to make our very own “World Book day” book.

Did you spot the three bears there? They were a little familiar don’t you think?

Just time for a quick snack, a few more trips to the toilet and then all our Mums, Dads, Nans and Grandads started arriving.

Phew, what a lovely day!

By the way, we took some great photos too, soon to appear on the blog so watch this space!

Hello everyone!

Well, it has been a little while, but here we are.

Today we managed to get out for a play in the nursery garden. We took some bricks and lots of hoops, and with a little help from Mrs Hewitt we all built a very big bus with quite a few wheels. We all had lots of fun. Mrs Cassidy took some photo’s with her boss phone and here they are.

Can you count how many wheels our bus has got?

We also had some bakers in the nursery today. They made lots of heart shaped valentine biscuits. Everyone decorated a biscuit each with pink and white icing and silver balls to take home. Yummy!

I wonder what we will do tomorrow!!!

We would also like to thank you all very much for the many beautiful and thoughtful gifts. We felt spoilt and quite touched at the thought, time and effort that had been taken. What can we say other than thank you once again.
